The 19th Asia Pacific Congress of Paediatrics (APCP 2026) successfully concluded in Colombo, bringing together paediatricians, healthcare professionals, researchers and medical experts from across the Asia Pacific region and beyond for four days of scientific exchange, professional networking and collaboration.
Held from 26 to 29 July 2026 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo, the congress was organised by the Sri Lanka College of Paediatricians (SLCP) in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Pediatric Association (APPA). The event was held in conjunction with the 28th Scientific Sessions of the SLCP, creating a comprehensive platform for knowledge-sharing and professional engagement in paediatric healthcare.
Meety Events Private Limited, India, served as the Professional Conference Organiser and Travel Partner for the congress, supporting the event’s professional and travel-related requirements.
The scientific programme covered the broad spectrum of paediatrics, with discussions focused on current and emerging global and regional health issues, advancements in clinical practice, research and innovative approaches to child healthcare. The congress also enabled delegates to exchange experiences, strengthen professional networks and explore opportunities for greater regional collaboration.
The event was led by Prof. Asiri Abeyagunawardana, Congress Chair of APCP 2026 and President-Elect of APPA, and Prof. Pujitha Wickramasinghe, Congress Co-Chair and President of SLCP. Assoc. Professor Joselyn A. Eusebio, President of APPA, also extended her support and welcomed the international paediatric community to Colombo.
APCP 2026 was CME accredited, adding further professional value for participating healthcare professionals, while SriLankan Airlines served as the Official Airline of the Congress.
Beyond the scientific agenda, the congress showcased Sri Lanka as a destination for international medical and association conferences, allowing delegates to experience Colombo’s hospitality, culture, cuisine and surrounding attractions.
