Bahrain Prepares to Host UFI Global Congress 2026

Bahrain is strengthening its position as a growing international business events destination as preparations continue for the 93rd UFI Global Congress, scheduled to take place from 2–5 November 2026 at Exhibition World Bahrain.

Bahrain’s Minister of Tourism, along with senior tourism and business events officials, recently received a delegation from the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) ahead of the upcoming congress. The meeting highlighted Bahrain’s readiness to welcome exhibition industry leaders from across the world and underlined the country’s growing focus on the global MICE and exhibitions sector.

The UFI delegation’s visit provided an opportunity to discuss preparations for the congress, as well as Bahrain’s wider ambitions to strengthen its position as a regional hub for exhibitions, conferences and business events. The country has been investing in its business events infrastructure and promoting collaboration between tourism stakeholders and the international exhibition industry.

The 93rd UFI Global Congress is expected to bring together leading exhibition organisers, venue representatives, service providers, associations and industry professionals from around the world. The event will provide a platform for knowledge exchange, networking and discussions around the key opportunities and challenges shaping the future of the global exhibition industry.

Hosting the congress at Exhibition World Bahrain also puts the venue and the Kingdom’s capabilities in the international spotlight. The event is expected to create opportunities for international delegates to experience Bahrain’s hospitality, infrastructure and growing business events ecosystem.

UFI’s Global Congress is one of the exhibition industry’s key international gatherings, attracting senior professionals and decision-makers from across the global exhibition community. Its presence in Bahrain reflects the country’s increasing engagement with the international business events sector.

With preparations progressing ahead of November, Bahrain is positioning the UFI Global Congress as an important opportunity to showcase its exhibition infrastructure, strengthen international industry relationships and reinforce its role as a destination for major global business events.

The congress will also provide a valuable platform for Bahrain to connect with exhibition professionals from different markets and explore new opportunities for collaboration, investment and industry development.
