ETAA Holds Annual General Meeting in Mumbai

The Enterprising Travel Agents Association (ETAA) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Mumbai, bringing together members of its Board and travel professionals representing different regions across India. The meeting provided a platform for members to interact, exchange views and discuss developments within the travel trade.

The AGM was attended by members of the ETAA Board, including Jagat Mehta, Abhijit Khadilkar, Dipti Pradhan Thakoor, Dharmesh Advani, Shripad Deshpande, Koushik Banerjee, Saurabh Tuteja and Sanjeevi Singh. Carl Dantas, Founder and Chairman Emeritus of ETAA, and Amala Dantas were also present at the gathering.

Members from Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Siliguri, Gujarat, Chennai and Puducherry participated in the AGM, reflecting ETAA’s pan-India member network. The association represents travel agents and the wider travel industry and is headquartered in Mumbai, with regional chapters and conveners across India.

Beyond the formal AGM proceedings, ETAA hosted a cocktail dinner and networking evening, bringing together members and selected representatives from airlines, tourism organisations and other travel industry partners. The gathering provided an opportunity for stakeholders to reconnect, exchange perspectives on the evolving travel sector and explore opportunities for stronger industry relationships.

The AGM and networking programme highlighted ETAA’s continued focus on member engagement, collaboration and industry connectivity. Such interactions provide travel professionals from different markets with opportunities to share experiences and strengthen relationships across the travel trade.

ETAA has continued to create platforms for its members to engage with travel suppliers, tourism boards, airlines and other industry stakeholders. Its official website describes the association as a professional body representing India’s retail tour operator and travel industry, with a focus on creating greater synergy among different segments of the travel and tourism sector.

The Mumbai AGM therefore served not only as a formal association meeting but also as an opportunity to bring together ETAA’s wider travel trade community for interaction, networking and collaboration.
