The 56th Annual Convention of the Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) concluded in Kashi after three days of inspiring discussions, industry networking and cultural experiences, bringing together hospitality and tourism stakeholders from across India and abroad.
Held from August 21 to 23, 2026, at Taj Ganges, Varanasi, the convention served as a major platform for hoteliers, travel professionals, policymakers, tourism leaders and industry experts to exchange ideas and explore emerging opportunities for the hospitality and tourism sector.
The programme featured thought-provoking sessions on destination weddings, brand strategy, Odisha Tourism, and new opportunities for travel agents and tour operators. Discussions also focused on evolving trends and opportunities shaping the future of Indian tourism and hospitality.
The final day began with the spiritual experience of Mangal Aarti Darshan at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, followed by the Subah-e-Banaras Cruise, offering delegates an opportunity to experience the cultural and spiritual character of Varanasi.
The Valedictory Session and FHRAI Excellence Awards were attended by Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism & Culture, Government of India. In his address, the Minister highlighted the enduring philosophy of “Atithi Devo Bhava” and the distinctive spirit of hospitality associated with Kashi.
The convention concluded with a Gala Networking Dinner, marking the culmination of three days of learning, collaboration, cultural engagement and celebration.
